Cryptic Crossword June 2003

Six clues are without definition parts. Their answers are terms for groups of animals and birds, included in an appendix in the Concise Oxford English Dictionary. The relevant creatures are wild boar, leopards, larks, ravens, monkeys, and sparrows. Initial letters of the terms spell out 3, a term (ideal for word detectives!) for a group of 31, included in the same appendix.

Good Luck!
