This section contains dialogues and activities which follow the progression of the 14 units of your Take Off In Italian. This extra material will allow you to expand your vocabulary and give you more opportunities to practise the language you are learning.
When an activity is directly linked to a dialogue (usually activity 1 of each unit), you will be told to play the dialogue before answering the questions. You also have the option to read the dialogue, but remember it's always best to listen without reading first.
This will help you develop your listening and understanding skills and prepare you for real-life conversations. The activities which are not directly linked to dialogues still use the vocabulary and structures introduced in them, so you might find it useful to listen to them more than once. Finally, don't forget you can also use the dialogues for pronunciation practice.
Where there are text boxes to fill in you should type in the text exactly as it appears in the list of choices. If the browser you use is Internet Explorer, it should be possible to highlight the text and drag it into the box. In other browsers, simply highlight the answer using your mouse, press ctrl C to copy it, and then paste it into the text box using ctrl V.
Once you've completed an activity, click on 'score' to check your answers. If you feel you can do better, do the activity again, or if you're happy with your score, you can click on the 'next' button.
