Of course, everyone has his or her own style and there is no magic formula.
One piece of advice, however: avoid sentence structures which are too complex.
If you give too much information in the same sentence you risk confusing the
reader and increasing the number of mistakes in your French. The clearer the
style, the easier the text is to read.
You should also consider using rhetorical questions (that is to say questions
which do not anticipate a reply and whose purpose is solely to introduce what
comes next). This will make your text more lively and the style will be lighter.
For instance, instead of beginning a paragraph with the following phrase:
