adjective (foggier, foggiest) 1 full of or accompanied by fog. 2 confused. PHRASES not have the foggiest (idea) informal, chiefly Brit. have no idea at all. ORIGIN perhaps from fog grass which grows in a field after a crop of hay has been cut, perhaps from Norwegian fogg.
