To launch this brand new service, customers who buy the print edition of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary can enjoy 5 lookups for FREE.
Here's what you do:
- just text LOOKUP followed by the word that you want to look up (for example, geocaching) to the number available when you purchase the Concise Oxford English Dictionary.
- you'll then receive a definition direct to your mobile phone by SMS
The offer of 5 definitions for free is available June 1st to December 31st 2006. The first 5 definitions are free during offer period. Standard network rate applies to each lookup request. See prices below.
The Service
OUP will provide the Customer with access to definitions from the Concise Oxford English Dictionary via their Mobile Phone. The definitions may be abridged or altered for technical reasons. The Customer may also request further definition information which will be delivered via WAP.
Prices
During the advertised Promotional Period (as may be introduced from time to time) the Service will provide the first 5 lookups (or a number of lookups as advertised) to the Customer's Mobile Phone free of charge.
Note that all texts to the Service number will be charged at your standard network rate. After the free lookups have been used subsequent lookups will be charged at 25p (or at the price advertised) plus the Customer's standard network text (SMS) rate. Network operator data charges will also apply to any information delivered using WAP.
All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.
OUP reserves the right to withdraw the service at any time for operational reasons.
